CRAVE GENIUS FIELD NOTES

Use AI to understand the data and keep creative human

Where does analysis help, and where should creative judgment lead?

In my Creative service, AI supports data work. I develop the writing, design and finished creative assets myself. That division gives the technology a defined role while keeping creative decisions connected to the people and business behind the work.

Useful data can reveal questions worth exploring. Campaign results may show where people respond, which assets receive attention or where interest fails to progress. Those observations can inform a brief, provided the data is relevant and the measures are understood.

AI-assisted analysis can help organize a large set of results and surface patterns for review. I still need to examine the context. A response rate can change because of the audience, the offer, timing or placement as well as the creative. The pattern is a starting point for investigation.

The next step is to make a creative decision about what the audience needs. That may involve clarifying a message, choosing a stronger example or changing how information is presented. It requires an understanding of the business and a judgment about the way the communication should feel and work.

Real material matters to that process. Accurate product details, approved photography and the expertise of the people delivering the service give the work substance. If information is missing, we identify what needs to be supplied or developed rather than inventing a fact to fill the space.

The review also needs to consider the claim being made. Does the asset describe something the business can support? Is the example representative of what is being offered? Have the relevant people checked technical or time-sensitive information? These questions belong in production and approval.

After the work is used, we can review the results and decide what to change. Data can help direct attention; human judgment determines how to interpret it and what creative response makes sense.

If you want creative assets built around your actual business, we can begin with your audience, the information available and the communication goal. I will use data to inform the work and handle the creative production directly.
